2010 Total raised £17,670.52

cheque[1]
Polo for Heroes 2010 was a fantastic success thanks to the help we received from so many people. It was a privilege to present a cheque for £17,670.52 to Falklands war veteran Simon Weston for Help for Heroes. The sun shone and families were welcome to picnic, soak up the atmosphere, watch some exciting polo and enjoy a great day’s entertainment. VIP guests also enjoyed dinner cooked by Tristan and raised a glass or two of champagne.

Polo for heroes drew in the crowds as around 500 people attended to watch four teams battle it out in two matches. The Civvies beat The Military by five goals to two and a half and The Kenney Jones Gang beat The Steve Collins Warriors by nine goals to two.

We had a welcome surprise visit from Eastenders star Ricky Groves, alias Gary Hobbs, who made a kind donation and promised to bring the rest of the cast along next year!

As the sun set the auction commenced then everyone boogied on down to Glitterball. A great day was had by all and an amazing sum of money raised!

Our thanks goes to all those who helped, sponsored and contributed in any way towards the success of Polo for Heroes. All of your support is very much appreciated.
